DTF Glossary
Screen angle
Screen angle is the orientation of a halftone grid or dot structure relative to the image axes. Changing it rotates the pattern without changing nominal LPI. Angle can affect visible texture and moiré when the artwork screen interacts with raster sampling, another screen, fabric structure, or downstream RIP processing.
In practice
Angle is meaningful only with the dot method, LPI or cell size, source density, scale, and output path. A conventional value copied from another process is not automatically correct for DTF.
Inspect the full-resolution raster and a physical target containing flat tones, gradients, fine detail, and the intended material. A downscaled preview can conceal the interaction.
