Sheet margin
Sheet margin is the reserved border between the outermost packed item bounds and the selected sheet edge. It protects a layout boundary, but it does not automatically equal a printer’s non-imageable region, a registration-mark zone, roller clearance, handling allowance, or visible-art distance. Those downstream constraints must be checked separately.
In practice
Because margin applies on both sides, increasing it by one millimetre reduces usable width by two millimetres. A small change can push an item into another row, or it can leave the packed height unchanged.
NestSheet starts at a 5 mm margin. Treat it as an editable layout default and replace it with a documented, tested value when the exact media or finishing path requires more.
