Gang sheet
A gang sheet is a single print-ready file that packs many separate designs onto one run of DTF film, so they print in one pass instead of one file per design. Shops gang orders together to cut film waste and printer time; the packing quality decides how much film one sheet saves.
In practice
The word comes from “ganging up” jobs in traditional prepress. In DTF production a gang sheet is usually as wide as the film roll and as long as the job needs, with a small gap between designs so transfers can be cut apart cleanly after pressing the powder.
The economics are simple: film is paid for by area, whether or not there is artwork on it. A tightly packed sheet spends that area on designs; a loose one spends it on blank film. That is why packing (nesting) quality is a cost lever, not a cosmetic preference.
