W1 channel
W1 is a conventional name for the first white-ink spot plane in some DTF file and RIP workflows. It is a label, not a universal standard or guarantee of mapping. The receiving queue must still discover the plane, interpret its polarity, assign it to white ink, and preserve registration with colour.
In practice
Additional white planes may use W2 and later labels when the chosen export and RIP contract calls for them. The number in the name does not define density, print order, or duplication by itself.
NestSheet’s default name family includes W1–W8 where an export row permits the corresponding count. Test only the planes selected for the actual job and record their byte content and mapping.
